HOG FOR KIDS: Day 9-Ft. Collins Lifestyle Portrait Session with Bell Family

Last night i arrived at my friend Michelle’s home after my longest ride yet. We both attended the University of Kansas and shared many good times together. I had not seen her since we left college and looked forward to catching up. I was quickly introduced to her two beautiful children Olivia (Livy) and Connor before putting them to bed and saw that they would be a blast to work with when i pulled my camera out. Michelle excused herself as she started the night shift as a tele-nurse and Marty and i enjoyed some burgers they had just grilled.

This morning i hung out wit the kids and helped Michelle as she got the day ready for us to go out to the park and play. I love being there early to capture the family as the day unfolds. How Connor just chows down on his breakfast and makes sure to feed Bella (the dog) who happily awaiting for the scraps. And how little Miss Libby shyly wonders who this strange man in her home is doing with that big camera.

HOG FOR KIDS ay 4-Lifestyle Portrait Session with Jake

Last night i arrived at my friends Jim & Caroline’s home. Caroline had the girls over for drinks and a movie while they hung out with Jake (8 month old). Jim and i took the opportunity to get out of the house as they watched “Terms of Endearment” and sipped on champagne. We headed over to the Lake Las Vegas Resort for dinner and enjoyed the free outdoor jazz concert afterwards.

Today i spent some time photographing Mr. Jake, he is gonna be a heartbreaker. Here are some of my favorite images below. Enjoy.

Baby Portrait Session with Gabriela

This morning i drove over to hang out with my friend Dr Ursula Boynton. I did some family portraits fro them back in January, see the post here. She is a Hospitalist physician at Alta Bates Medical Center and is now on leave after having her second baby named Gabriela. We left Gabi at home and walked her almost two year old daughter Eva to the local farmers market. When we got back i took some images of Miss Gabriela. Here is a slideshow of the images. Enjoy.

Had a blast today shooting some images for my Sister’s Christmas card in Kansas City right before i got on a plane back to California. I got inspired by an image i saw on a blog (can’t remember for the life of me where) of a child being thrown in the air by his/her father. Here is my interpretation. Enjoy.

Found the perfect model to try out my new Canon 5D. My nephew Luis Gustavo. What do you think of his new outfit that i got him? Can’t wait til he is old enough so i can give him a ride on my Harley.

Shooting with Jennifer Muntz in San Diego

Spent the afternoon with my good friend and photography partner Jennifer Muntz of Jennifer Muntz Photography. Jen is also a wedding photographer and is based in Phoenix, AZ. We were both in San Diego for work attending the IDSA conference and had a few hours to kill before our scheduled dinners and she needed some images for her My Story section. Here is an image i caught of her on a fun checkered bench.
